Super Admin Tools – User Sidebar
The eZDesk User Sidebar App provides a quick and efficient way to manage an agent’s role and preview their view access—all from the sidebar in the user’s profile.
Without this tool, updating an agent’s custom role would require navigating to the Admin panel, and determining their available ticket views would mean either guessing based on their group memberships or assuming their profile to see their list of views.
With this app, you can make role changes instantly and gain visibility into an agent’s views without extra steps. 🚀

How to Use
- Open an Agent’s Profile
- Navigate to the agent’s profile in Zendesk.
- The eZDesk User Sidebar App will appear in the sidebar.
- Update an Agent’s Role
- Click the Role dropdown.
- Select a new role (End User, Agent, Admin, or Custom Role).
- The change is applied immediately—no need to open the Admin Center. Just refresh your browser window to see the changes.

- Preview an Agent’s Views
- The app will display all ticket views the agent has access to, based on their role and group memberships.
- Use this to troubleshoot missing or unexpected views without assuming the agent’s profile.
